Have you been buying lead lists and cold calling, only to be met with “I’ve heard this already,” “I Signed up for this opportunity three months ago,” and other frustrating, rejection filled responses or non-responses? Have you found that these leads are not very well targeted to YOUR market? Well, here is a simple way to have leads chasing YOU!

Are you ready for it? Here it comes…

Leverage the Internet!

That’s right, the internet. The same place you found these secrets. People are constantly searching for information on the internet. There are plenty of network marketers, your target market, constantly searching for ways to become more successful. After all, 97% are failing! They are dying to find a way to make money in this business.

How do you leverage the internet, exactly? Well that’s another simple answer. With a web presence! You need a web presence in order for the Sellers, to find YOU. You will need to market this web presence so that you can be found easily. A capture page allows you to grab their information so that you can tell them more about what is needed to be successful. Once they have found you, your target market, Sellers, will opt-in by leaving their information on your capture page.

There you have it - Endless FREE Opted-In Leads! The facts of the matter are these:

People will not automatically give you their information just because you have a page asking for it. You have to sell them on YOU first!

Capturing leads is only a step to success. It is what you do with the leads that actually make you money. Trust me when I say that it’s NOT pitching your business to them!

For starters, what do you think will make a person give you their contact information? A better question is what is it about you that will make a person want to hear what you have to say? This answer is simple too - your brand. In business in general, it's important to brand yourself, preferably as a guru or coach. You know what they say, "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach." This has never been more fitting! If you really want to learn how to do something, try to teach it to someone else. The depth of knowledge required to teach someone a subject is unbelievable, and it will make you a guru.

So once you've become a guru, you have to prove it. Use your web presence to present this knowledge, freely, to your potential student. You don't have to go into any grave detail. After all, that's what the coaching is for! However, it does have to be enough for the person to understand that you know what you are talking about and that they can learn from you.

Now that you have your web presence with all of its useful wisdom, you just have to market it. you would do that the way you would market any business online. That means you will have to build your skills in Internet marketing and Search Engine Optimization techniques. It would probably be worthwhile to invest in learning online advertising methods as well.

So you see, the real secret to generating endless free leads is being a know-it-all!T. Have you ever wondered why your MLM Business provides you with a website? First, it provides more information on the product. Secondly, it gives your customers an opportunity to place orders on their own. Third, it tells people visiting the site all about the opportunity and gives them a link to sign up. Lastly, it does a good job of marketing the company.

Did you notice that I never said anything about you? Those sites do not help you market You, Inc. Sure, they have your name, contact information, and maybe your picture, but how many of you have had success getting those sites to the top of the natural search engine listings. You can't modify the metadata keywords, title, or description. You definitely can't modify the copy on the pages. The copy that's there effectively describes the company and its brand, and maybe the product. However, it doesn't effectively market all of those things. Do you think the creators of those pages bothered to use a Reverse Keyword Search? Even worse, with the exception of the contact information that you provide, your site has exactly the same copy as the countless others who are involved with the MLM business. Do you know what that means to the search engines? Nothing, absolutely nothing! In fact, the search engines will think even less of your site because it's DUPLICATE to so many others!

Why Have A Website At All?

Having a web presence helps to brand You, Inc. It provides a certain level of visibility, not to mention popularity for your personal brand on the Internet. Since you value the concept of multiple streams of income, you most likely have more than one thing going on anyway. Why not have a website that talks about you and ALL you do? Why not market You, Inc on it's own? Get a website that you can control! One that you can effectively market, after doing your Reverse Keyword Search, with original copy that will make you unique to the search engines.

Once you have your web presence you can then use it to build You, Inc. and your autoresponder to remain in contact with the people who support it. I explain how to do this in my FREE training and you can sign up with the box to the right if you haven't already done so. The Internet is vast. There is an estimated 6.9 Billion people in this world of which an estimated 2.9 Billion are on the Internet. That is a 480% growth in the past decade according to Internet World Stats. No other form of marketing will put you in front of that many people! If you are a business person and you aren't on the Internet, then you might as well not exist, plain and simple. Perform a small experiment, Google your name or your company name in quotes, like "Tamikia Alford". How many results come up?

So What Is My MLM Provided Website Good For?

Well, since you can't use it to effectively market your product or You, Inc., You might as well use it sign people up for your opportunity. I would say that you can use it to sell product but those shopping carts are usually navigational nightmares that hardly even describe the product well enough to get a customer who hasn't been personally introduced to the product interested. If you can't afford your own e-commerce website, you can always create a blog and use it to market your MLM Opportunity's products. Even if you could afford an e-commerce website, a blog is marketing gold, when it comes to building You, Inc. in general.

Now that I think about it, maybe they do that on purpose - force you to have parties and meetings by giving you a horrible, over duplicated website that is guaranteed to to be unmarketable. Then you are guaranteed to follow their "marketing" techniques, right? We'll show them!T. In a previous post, I talked about Sellers (other business owners), being your target market for your MLM opportunity. Now does that mean that you go walking into every business you see asking to speak to the owner so that you can pitch them on your business? Absolutely not! You might be asking yourself, "What kind of business owner does she mean?" Well, it’s simple, think about it this way... If you were a recruiter for the NBA (National Basketball Association), would you be scouting at football games, swim meets, or basketball games? Basketball games, of course! Why? Because the people you find playing in basketball games have a few different properties:

They already have an interest in basketball, the kind of team we are recruiting for.

They have experience in the sport so they understand the rules and what it takes to win the game.

They have made a commitment and an investment into becoming better players; be it practice, boot camps, personal coaches, and/or other training.

As a NBA recruiter, if your Sellers are the players, who are your Buyers? Well, the Buyers are the basketball game spectators. They are the people who have an interest in the game and will spend their money to watch. However, they are not willing to make the needed investment in order to become a top notch player - the kind of player you want to recruit. Think about if you stood in the middle of a busy intersection and shouted, "Hey, I’m a recruiter for the NBA, who wants to play for my team?" What kind of response would you get? Based on the common knowledge of how much professional basketball players make, you would get a stampede of people, even if they had to pay a nominal fee to get in. Now, if you told them to pay this fee now, to get in and a much smaller fee each month, but then explained that before they could get paid, they had to invest their time into training and practice to become what is required to win a game, how many do you think would stick around? Some might pay, but eventually leave the team because they weren’t getting paid, and were in fact losing money. There goes your team!

So if you are a network marketer, recruiting people for your business, who do you think you should be scouting? Other Network Marketers! Your customers are mere spectators at the game, Buyers. There is no need to even pitch the business to them. Though, if they are interested, they WILL come to you. Other network marketers have all of the qualities of your star players:

They already have an interest in the business.

They have experience and they, like you, get it! They understand the importance of having multiple streams of income.

They have made a commitment and an investment into becoming a network marketer by joining an MLM business.

Generally, if you meet a network marketer, he will be interested in hearing about your business, but be careful. This can easily turn into a “mine is better than yours” game. That is not a game that you want to play, it’s a waste of time. You might be asking yourself how to avoid this game. Well, it’s simple, think about why you became a network marketer. It could have been so that you could travel more, fire your boss, spend more time with your family, etc. Really think about what enables you to do all of that – money!

Money is the reason that anyone goes into business. We don’t do it to spend all that we have, we do it to get more! So a true network marketer will be interested in making money! She won’t care what the product is. If you can show her how she can make more money, faster and easier, she’ll join you. She will stay with you as long as you can show her a proven, duplicatable system that will 1) Bring in prospects; 2) Convert the prospects into paying customers or business partners in her downline; 3) Earn money for your business from non-converting prospects. Then add that you can show her how to do it AUTOMATICALLY, 24/7, 365 days (366 on leap years)! Now if you recruit an already slightly successful network marketer, don’t you think she will bring her downline with her? Her downline, suddenly becomes your downline. When you repeat this system the possibilities are endless!T. As an Internet Marketer, I'm always thinking about useful keywords to use in the copy for my web pages. Years ago, I was introduced to Reverse Keyword Search. In case you don't know what that is, I'll explain...

When you normally go to a search engine, like Google, you put in keyword terms and get web content that match that phrase as a result. With Reverse Keyword Search, you put in a keyword term and get the number of searches for that exact term and similar terms for the past month. You might ask yourself why this information would be relevant. Well, I'm sure you've heard that "copy is king" and that keyword rich copy is favored by the search engines. So if you had an idea of what terms people are actually searching for, you no longer have to guess at the keyword terms and could then target your audience based on what terms they search for. Also, it gives you an idea of whether that topic is popular online in general.

This is very VALUABLE information!

These keywords are not only useful for web page copy and keyword metadata, but also descriptions, titles, and even domains. Knowing this information up front could save you a lot of time and money used to buy additional domains that are more fitting and any time spent re-writing web page copy to benefit from the search engines. This is Search Engine Optimization 101! If you are looking for traffic, you want all the help you can get!

Here are a couple of tools that I like to use to do searches:

Google AdWords Reverse Keyword Search (free)

KeywordSpy Keyword Search

The Google search does give information on AdWords competition, but the KeywordSpy search will give you information on your competitors which definitely gives you an edge!

If you are asking yourself, which topic you should be doing searches for, remember who your target market is, other Network Marketers, and your goal, branding You, Inc. Think about what your audience is looking for and how YOU can help them become successful. Why should they subscribe to what you have to say?
T. Have you ever been at a party or a gathering where everyone was having a good time and then Debbie Downer comes in with her negative mood/attitude and brings everyone down with her? This is more of the concept of the transference of energy, but it's a good place to start talking about positive and negative influences on your life. The old cliche "Birds of a feather flock together" couldn't be more true here. Positive people generally want to surround themselves with (are attracted to) other positive people. Successful people (or people who want to be successful) generally surround themselves with (are attracted to) other successful people. We want to be surrounded with (are attracted to) the influences that get us to where we want to be, or keep us where we are.

Let's look at another concept... I am a firm believer that we speak things into existence. I tell people all the time that they should never wish death on anyone, or lie about someone being hurt. I have enough examples in my life to prove this theory. Take for example 2010... In July, my cat, whom I've taken care of for 16 years, and my grand-aunt, passed away within 24hrs of each other. I was miserable at my J-O-B, not getting along with my immediate supervisor. In September, my sister was murdered in a domestic violence incident. In December, I was told that my grandmother was not doing well, health-wise. I was outside, on a Monday in December, talking to my neighbor. Knowing what loss I had already faced, and my current job troubles, she asked me how I was doing. I told her about my grandmother. I actually said, out loud, "I am so ready to get this year over with and start fresh and new. If anything else bad is going to happen, it needs to happen this year. I cannot take anything negative into the new year." I lie to you not, my grandmother passed away the next evening on Tuesday. You cannot imagine how horrible I felt to receive that news. I knew better than to say things like that, but I was in such a place emotionally at the time, that I was in survival mode. I had already been telling myself that 2011 was going to be a fantastic year, my year of success. I couldn't afford to start the year with something as physically and emotionally draining as yet another close family death. Unfortunately, it was out into the universe before I could stop myself.

This is the Law of Attraction. The belief that positive and negative thinking (or speaking) brings about positive and negative physical results, respectively. I have believed in this my whole life. It has been popularized by books and films like The Secret, but I had been taught this concept as a child. Remember the Little Engine That Could? His "I think I can, I think I can" speaking is what got him to the top of the mountain. Some like to say that this was a lesson in optimism but I believe that his positive thinking got him positive physical results - Law of Attraction.

So What Is Attraction Marketing?

Wikipedia defines Attraction Marketing as:

The use of marketing techniques specifically designed to teach the customer what you are doing and how a service or product will benefit them well before they purchase it.

Basically, you are selling the customer on you BEFORE you ever ask them to purchase anything. When your walk into a room, you always want your reputation to precede you. Your reputation is your personal brand. Just as in any type of business, you always want to brand your company and or product. A lot of Network Marketing gurus like to call your personal brand You, Inc. so I will stick with that.

We watch Attraction Marketing take place every single day. It's, by far, not a new concept. Traditional advertisers and marketers, even celebrities use this! The most successful multi-level marketers use this to grow their businesses, which makes this one of the most essential concepts for you to understand in or for you to be successful. The Network Marketing techniques provided to you in my training are based around this concept. That why it works!

People will be attracted to You, Inc. because it will get them where they want to be, or keep them where they are. They have and interest in what you can offer them. What is it that you can offer them? Information and knowledge that will make them as much, if not more, of a success as you are. However, you need to sell (show) them that you know something that they don't and that what you can give them will work for them, they way it's worked for you.

Why Should I Use Attraction Marketing To Build My MLM Business?

Isn't it obvious already? Attraction Marketing is what will bring people to you. This concept is what will keep you from ever facing rejection, keep you from wasting time on "tire kickers" or people who want to ask a billion questions before they decide NOT to join your downline, enable you to have a steady flow of endless leads for your business. This type of marketing is what will bring the people who are looking for what you are offering to you while you sleep or vacation. You know who those people are, your Target Market. Better yet, it's a concept that can be taught to and repeated by your downline to gain them the same success.T. In Part I of this series, I talked about the separation of people in this world with relation to our businesses, Buyers, Sellers, and Haters. In case you haven’t figured this out already, you have two completely unique target markets - Buyers and Sellers. Realizing that, like me, you were probably taught those "old school" methods that make you believe that everyone who buys your products will naturally share them with friends and family and then will want to join the business to get them at a discount, and/or to make some extra cash.

What Is A Target Market?

By definition, a target market is basically a group of people who are specifically interested in what you are offering. These are the folks who are most likely to buy your product and/or join your business.

Why Just The Buyers and Sellers?

Remember what I said about Buyers – they aren’t interested in owning their own business. Why is that? For many reasons: Some people love what they do for a living to pay the bills (otherwise known as a J. O. B.) and will never leave it. Some are scared to be “self-employed” and with that attitude, should never be. Some are morally against making a lot of money or feel they have enough (or too much) already. Some are completely convinced that MLM Businesses are Pyramid Schemes (even after you try to explain the difference). Lastly, some just have no ambition (or simply don’t care) and want to remain at their current level in life. The Haters, well, do I really need to remind you of where they get you? Ok, I will… A one-way, express ticket, to Frustration-ville with a quick stop at NO-NO-NO Land.

Think about what you’ve been doing to be successful in your business recruiting. Have you been wasting time and money pushing your business onto Buyers and Haters, facing constant rejection, getting your blood pressure up from frustration? You want to get your opportunity in front of the right people, your target market, the Sellers. Once you do that, you will achieve 100x the results with a quarter of the the effort. All of this while avoiding frustration and rejection. We want to work smarter, not harder, right?T. Personally, I’ve been involved with MLMs for over a decade. Until I learned these secrets, I’ve never been able to make the businesses work. So like many of you have done in the past, or like many of your downline will do if you don’t pass this knowledge on, I abandoned the opportunity altogether. I have found that every one of those MLM opportunities start you out the same way – a brainstorming exercise.

This brainstorming exercise is to get you to think of at least 100 people that you know to introduce to the business. Now this exercise usually comes with an aid that is often called a Memory Jogger. This aid has you listing close family, distant family, friends, associates, neighbors, coworkers, the guy who mows your lawn, the lady who cuts your cheese at the deli, your cable guy, the mail person … you get what I’m saying here, right? You’ve heard all of this before. Basically any and everybody you come in contact with on a regular basis.

Think Everyone Is Your Prospect? Think Again!

That is what we are taught by our uplines – “Everyone Is Your Prospect!” Everyone we meet is a potential business partner who we can mold and shape into another harassing, stranger tackling, sample & brochure toting, broke MLM Business owner. Now with this particular weapon in your arsenal, you have undoubtedly faced rejection after rejection. How much of that can one person really take? In one MLM Business that I’m involved in, they actually gave us a “100 No’s Sheet.” We are supposed to prospect people until we get 100 No’s. Can you believe that? They are essentially telling us to build a business while building a tolerance, a force field essentially, for rejection. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like hearing the word “No” nor do I want to get used to hearing it!

As a business owner, not just in MLM businesses, I believe that everyone I meet is a potential customer. This doesn’t mean that I shove my products down their throats the moment that I meet them. It simply means that I’m constantly listening to them for a way that I can improve their life, situation, health, and/or well-being with my products. I don’t even carry samples around. I simply carry business cards that list my sites, and I highlight the site and maybe write something extra on it to remind them why they have the card. Now that person can choose to use it or not. No harm no foul, I get tons of business cards for cheap.

Notice, however, that I said “potential customer,” not business partner. This is for a very good reason. A long time ago, I realized that the world is filled with Sellers, Buyers, and Haters. Sellers are the people, like you, who get it. Sellers are the people who understand that it’s important to have multiple streams of income and are the folks who will jump at the chance to hear more about your MLM Opportunity and Compensation Plan. Sellers are other business owners! Buyers are your customer base. Buyers are the people who will purchase your product because it is useful or simply because they want to support you. They will never be interested in joining your opportunity because the risks of owning their own business are just too much for them. Haters are the people that you get rejected by the most often. Haters don’t want to join your MLM Business or buy your product. In fact, they will buy a similar product from someone else, a stranger even, just not from you. Why they do this is beyond me, but you’ve seen these folks. They are located in our inner circles. We consider them the closest of family and the best of friends. All they ever have for you when it comes to your business is "No."

With everyone split into these three groups, how can it be possible that “Everyone Is Your Prospect?” The statement just simply is not true! Your upline, however, continually tells you to hit the pavement with costly samples and brochures in tow prospecting everyone you meet, compiling your rejections onto your 100 No’s Sheet as a constant reminder of how much rejection you’ve faced with little to no results. What happens when the sheet is filled up you ask? Well, they just tell you to start a new sheet. Your told that direct sales/network marketing is a numbers game and the more you prospect the more positive results you will achieve. It’s sort of like when they have you tell your party host to invite 30 people to ensure that 10 people show up.T. A.http://www.blogger.com/profile/03019345824037597305noreply@blogger.com0
